What’s does a consultation consist of?

A consultation is performed prior to surgery to discuss all your options and health status with the doctor. You will be evaluated, fill out a medical history and discuss questions, concerns, risks, benefits and financial matters.

What types of insurance do you take?

Once the doctor performs an exam, our financial coordinator will discuss your specific insurance plan coverage with you in detail. While we do work with many insurances, our insurance coordinator will check with your insurance provider about any procedure you are considering and our patient coordinator will assist you in understanding what you could be responsible for. How long will I be off work or school?

Everyone heals differently, but on average 2-5 days.

What kind of foods can I eat?

You can eat whatever your comfortable with. At first, we recommend starting out with softer foods and foods that do not require much chewing.

What are the payment options?

We accept cash, personal checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, SpringStone and Carecredit.

How long will it take the doctor to remove my wisdom teeth?

It depends on the difficulty of the case. But about 45 to 60 minutes, including recovery, is planned.

How long will a dental implant last?

Implants have a 96% success rate in healthy patients. With the proper dental hygiene implants can last a lifetime.

Can I drive after my surgery?

You may drive after surgery unless you have had Oral, IV or General Anesthesia.

Will I need medications after my surgery?

That is decided on a case by case basis. However, in general you will be prescribed pain medication and antibiotics.

What is a dry socket?

A dry socket occurs when a blood clot dissolves and you are left with exposed bone. This can be very painful and generally happens with barometric pressure changes and in smokers.

Does it hurt to have dental implants placed?

Most people experience minimal discomfort following dental implant placement.
